Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement microservices (Python / Node / Go)
  • Design and optimise data models and queries
  • Build secure, well-documented REST/GraphQL endpoints
  • Implement background jobs and message queues
  • Write tests, profile performance, and optimise cost
  • Collaborate with DevOps on deployment and monitoring

Requirements

  • 3+ years designing and building backend services (Python, Node.js, or Go)
  • Relational and NoSQL DB expertise (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
  • REST / GraphQL API design and documentation
  • Docker and microservices architecture
  • Authentication, authorisation, and security best-practices
  • Unit/integration testing culture
  • Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Strong data-modelling and problem-solving skills
